Today the Legislative House of Ojodu LCDA celebrates our Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Fatuyi Olanrewaju Samson — Councillor for Ward C and a principal officer of the 6th Legislative Assembly. In a House of six distinct voices, his is the one that arrives with a joke and leaves with a decision. He is an enigmatic fellow: hard to predict, harder to rattle, and never forgettable.
On the floor he is level-headed and unfailingly prepared, and on the committee table he is a careful reader of the fine print. The Whip's office is not a glamorous one — it is the office that counts heads, keeps discipline and makes sure the House does what it promised the people — and he has carried it with dignity. When the Assembly needed a dependable man, he was simply there.
As you mark another year, Deputy Chief Whip, we pray for sound health, long life and the strength to keep serving Ojodu. May God bless you and your household richly, and may this new year of your life be your best yet.
